How I joined the band:

Actually that is pretty simple and short to say. I found our drummer Elmar by an ad. We made music together for a while with another name and then founded Azurica back in 2009.

My hobbies:

Making music, teaching music, working on instruments, effectboards and so on, homerecording, theater, parcour, bowling

Music:

If the question was "what music do you listen to", my answer were "every kind of music that brings me forward". If I had to say a kind of music, I'd say blues.
I must confess at this topic that I am a musician and so I have an open mind for every style, because you always get to know something new and are able to develop this.
I listen to almost everything from blues and jazz via classical, rock and metal to flamenco, bossa nova and more.
I also learn by listening to music, so diffenrent styles bring new ideas or  inspirations and this makes them interesting.
When I just wanna relax, I listen to good old blues or bluesrock. But sometimes I also need hard riffs. ;)

Inspirations:

For me there are a lot of diffenrent musicians and artists who inspire me, by which I learn and who help me on. I noted on my way as a musician, that mostly it is the small, relatively unknown people that are around you who teach you a lot more than the big ones. Examples are my former piano teacher or my guitar maker.
But the biggest inspiration in my opinion is: you by yourself. You can learn a lot by other, but moving forward you only do by your own thirst.
Factors are the love to music, the sense of rhythm, the feeling for sounds, a little crazyness and especially the interest in new, unusual and crazy stuff. Alltogether mixed with the urge to harmony.
For these, who are interested, here are a few well-known musicians through which I realize myself. There are a lot more, there are always new ones, but if I were to list them all, the list would never end, there are too many... :D
